LED lighting

LED (Light-Emitting Diode) emit a lot of light at low power consumption. In the Science Tower, LED luminaires are consistently set for energy efficiency reasons. A dedicated lighting concept was developed in cooperation with the lighting manufacturer Zumtobel.

The lighting of modern working environments must on one hand be energy-efficient and on the other hand create high-quality lighting moods. In the Science Tower, an old concept was used – the separation of basic and workplace lighting.
Floodlights illuminate the entire room diffuse, table lamps illuminate directly the workplace. This is the only way to create high lighting intensities where they are needed and to the extent desired by the individual user (s).

Table light TIGNUM

The result of the cooperation with Zumtobel is the project light TIGNUM, which was specially developed for the Science Tower.
The luminaire allows the luminaire to be positioned differently on the table. In order to avoid extra space at the table, a computer screen can be placed on the flat foot.

Immediately within range of the user is a rotary control with which the luminaire can be switched on and dimmed. In this way, the user is encouraged to continually deal with his lighting and thus energy needs.
