The ventilation in the Science Tower is an essential factor for the room climate. During the day, the offices are supplied with filtered, cleaned air; at night, the building temperature is lowered by means of a natural naturally cooling.
The Science Tower, specified as a high-rise building, also has a pressure aeration system which is activated in the event of a fire, thus permitting smoke-reduced, controlled evacuation!

An energy-efficient method to lower the temperature in buildings is due to the delay of the temperature change between day and night. At night, the upper parts of the window elements in the Science Tower will be opened automatically and cool air will flow over the not covered concrete-surfaces. The ceiling with the absorbed heat of the day will be cooled down for free – that it can passively lower the room temperature the next day.
